Cornerstone Services Group Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 24 622 924 789) (“Cornerstone Services Group”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

What we collect

We collect personal information you give us directly, most commonly when you:

• submit an enquiry through this website (name, company, email address, phone number, and the details of your enquiry);
• contact us by phone, email or in person about a quote, tender, project or service contract;
• deal with us in the ordinary course of a project (site contacts, delivery and access details);
• apply for a job or apprenticeship (your name, contact details, the role you’re interested in, your licences, tickets and experience, and any resume you attach);
• request a quote and attach drawings or a specification (the files and the site details you provide).

Like most websites, our hosting provider also logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited. This site does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

Why we collect it

We collect and use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and prepare quotes and tenders;
• deliver, document and support our services, including compliance and safety reporting;
• manage contracts, invoicing and business records;
• meet legal, regulatory and licensing obligations (including electrical licensing and workplace safety requirements);
• assess job and apprenticeship applications and contact you about suitable roles.

We may use approved artificial intelligence (AI) tools, including enterprise productivity platforms and software development tools, to assist with administration, communications, reporting, document preparation, content development, website management, coding and business operations. Our people remain responsible for reviewing and approving what these tools produce. We do not rely solely on AI to make decisions that affect our clients, customers, employees, job applicants or anyone else we deal with.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party marketing.

Who we share it with

We only disclose personal information where needed to run our business: to service providers who support this website and our systems (for example, our website hosting and form-handling provider, and the providers of our business software and AI tools), to professional advisers, or where the law requires it. Some service providers may process or store data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States; where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.

How we hold and protect it

Personal information is held in our business systems and those of our service providers, with access limited to people who need it to do their job. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, and we destroy or de-identify information we no longer need.

We keep unsuccessful job applications for 12 months so we can contact you about future roles, then delete them. Ask us at any time to delete yours sooner.

Any personal information processed through approved AI-enabled systems remains subject to our privacy, security and information governance requirements. Our use of AI aligns with the Cornerstone Group AI Charter and AI Governance Framework.

Access and correction

You can ask us at any time what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first and we will investigate and respond. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
